Visited here a few times now. Staff are lovely, very welcoming, warm and friendly. I usually have my dog with me and she is welcome here on the ground floor tearoom. Being desperate for the bathroom today ! They even looked after her whilst I nipped to the ladies as I was on my own. Beautifully clean too.
£7.50 For a basic panini is a bit of a joke when one of the same quality is across the street in costa for almost half that. That wasn’t the worst of it however; we waited about half an hour for our food and they forgot to bring and even cook one of our orders. Won’t come back here again.
I truly love Darcy's and am a regular customer. The service is lovely and the food and drinks are consistently good.
My only downside and the reasoning behind the 4/5 is the fact that they currently don't offer a free dairy-free milk option and I am constantly left with an extra charge despite it being an allergy so I have no choice. I completely understand that dairy-free alternatives are pricier, but most soya brands are similar pricing to dairy milks so the extra 60+p just seems harsh on lactose intolerant people like myself. Most independent establishments are beginning to offer soya for free and charge only for oat, almond and coconut etc; I can only hope this might be the case for Darcy's so I can continue to get my caffeine fix without breaking the bank!

18/11/23 - thank you to the staff who were kind to make me a ‘long black’ coffee which wasn’t on the menu, the bacon sandwich was great too. Professional polite staff, a relaxing atmosphere and would recommend anyone to visit. Dog friendly too ???????? thank you ????????????????
This is a wonderful hidden gem! I often have my coffee or lunch break here with a fab selection of coffees, cold drinks, cakes and hot food. I've also visited with family who loved it! Can't recommend this place enough. I tried a bacon sandwich for the first time today and it was magnificent!!
We had a couple of nice sandwiches and teas. All-day breakfast options are available. Pleasant staff and quick service despite it being quite busy.
