Visiting Pennan, we couldn’t find Coastal Cuppie, so on a second sweep of the village we asked a friendly dog walker where the cafe was. It turned out, we had asked the owner herself, she said it was closed but offered to open it for ourselves considering we had travelled to visit. Amazing, she dropped her dogs off home and then opened up just for us. We had amazing carrot cake and hot drinks. Friendliest service ever. Brilliant place.
An absolutely delightful cup of coffee with a stunning view. A lovely wee village area on the harbour, with such serenity. This cafe is the perfect place to sit, relax and take it all in. Plenty of seating available. Thank you Shiona for your kindness, you made my day! ❤️
We stayed for a weekend spending time swimming in the sea and Shona always had a cuppa and hot stone ready to warm us up when we got out.
Her cakes are all home made by herself and are amazing ! We had one everyday if not 2 ! Oops she is great to chat to and we had such a laugh with her. No matter the weather it’s a joy to sit have a natter and fill yr belly with everything wonderful ❤️????

A must visit on the harbour and enjoy the scenery. The lady who runs it is lovely and serves the most tasty cakes and scones I have ever had. We had the tea loaf and the a plain scone with jam and clotted cream alonge with a green tea and a juice. Came to just short of £8 which is great value.
Pennan is a lovely place to visit and this makes it all the better. Apparently the film Local Hero was filmed here hence the phone box. Not seen the film but may watch it now.
