Best KPortal Reviews

Second holiday here and our second visit to a superb pub with a truly local atmosphere and exemplary service. The food is delicious and nothing is too much trouble. Miss this pub and you’ll miss out! ????????
Second time we have had a fabulous family evening at the Coach and Horses.
Always made to feel so welcome and have always been served fabulous food.
We love this pub!
Thank you so much
We had great Sunday Roasts yesterday as walk ins without booking. Obv only OK as we are on low season! Very friendly atmosphere and Murray looked after us so well! We will return!
Went in for a Sunday roast and expected good things after seeing the average rating. I think this may be a wet pub that is attempting to diversify and make food.
Long story short, the portions are really small, so don't expect anything huge from your Sunday lunch. Our roast consisted of one slice of meat, a small undercooked Yorkshire pudding, a few bits of thinly cut veg, and a cauliflower cheese between three people which was in a small side dish. I'm not sure what the difference is between the 'normal' size portion and the kids... I hate to think! I didn't take any photos but you can see how small these are from other reviews people have left, and looks like this isn't a new issue.
The restaurant ran out of cauliflower cheese after only an hour of opening for Sunday which, amongst other things, suggested there was a general lack of food in the kitchen to serve reasonable portions to paying customers.
We waited 30 minutes for desert which consisted of a slice of shop bought cake and a scoop of ice cream. No idea what took so long, especially as the roast came out within minutes of arriving.
Unfortunately this is one to avoid until they amend the portion sizes and / or the management.
We have just returned from a lovely Sunday lunch at this pub.Its our second visit. Its a great pub with a local and friendly atmosphere. The roast was hot and tasty, just like home, I would recommend all of it . We were made very welcome . Thank you .
Been twice now and food mediocre at best, home cooked? well if you liked defrosted meat and frozen chips and cardboard pizza - avoid!
I've just popped in for a cup of tea and was greeted by very friendly bar staff. I could relax on very comfy leather sofas and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
This place is highly recommend ???? ???? ????
If I could give 10* I would!! This is the most beautiful, friendly and welcoming village pub. The pints of local ale are pulled the right way, no sprinklers fitted and the bar staff, Murray, is friendly, helpful and funny!! The food is sublime!!! Do not come expecting quick, pub grub.... This is home cooked and made with love. There's no rushing this kind of food!! Beautiful, thank you and we'll be back when we visit Kent again!! Thank you!
