If I could give this garage 10 stars, I would. Great, honest service. Always sensibly priced and never try and screw you over with making you pay for things that aren't needed.
Have taken my car here for an MOT for years & received fantastic service every time. They have also happily resolved any other car faults I have had. Would never go anywhere else!
Plain rude, called about an mot test and I couldn’t even get a sentence out without being cut off by him before he hung up on me, bloke on the end of the phone just seems to be in a rush all the time which if you ask me, isn’t really a quality you want from a mechanic.

Excellent service, straight talking, honest and to the point, no messing about, their mechanics not paper pushers. Our extended family have now taken 4 cars there one for a full service as pushed by main dealer but was told by Clyst garage didn't need one for the amount of miles done, one for a sliding door hanging off, instead of hundreds for new parts they put the welder to it. Mine was for engine management problem within a minute they told me what the problem was before even attaching the diagnostics which confirmed it and just recently my son's Golf with more engine management lights on it than a Christmas tree, they said put some really good fuel in it thrash it about, give it a long drive plenty of revs to burn off the carbon build up and it should be fine, we did it and it was, they are now going to fix my son's leak in his coolent system which was another issue he had. So all in all very pleased and will continue to use them. Just wanted to write this review as one or two of the others seemed unfair.
The guys were great, dropped me home after leaving my car with them to complete the MOT. The car needed work to pass, but all completed the same day. My car was even delivered home to me. Highly recommend and will be using again.

**Avoid**Very rude indeed. Called for a quote on a water pump and was asked four times if there was anything else wrong with the car. Felt like I was being interrogated rather than asking for a service.
I quote :-“there better not be anything else wrong I can’t be doing with wasting my time”. Speaking locally to other garages this is not the first time they have heard of this bloke being a bit brash.
I started to tell the chap how he shouldn’t speak to people like he is and he hung up on me... clearly the chap is unable to take constructive criticism, would you want this attitude with any defective work? No, thank you very much!
To be avoided.
