Absolutely fantastic little tea room. We always make a point of stopping if we are anywhere in the vicinity. Always made to feel welcome and never disappointed with the food and service. Added bonus if you like antiques.
I’ve been coming for breakfast on Saturdays for over a year now - it’s become a second home! I always receive the most welcoming and friendly service and the Full English breakfast goes down a treat after a park run in country park! I bring friends in whenever they visit and they always enjoy it.
Called in today for lunch, to be ignored, eventually told they busy, when I suggested we could wait with a coffee, just a repeat of I'm busy rushed off my feet, made to feel VERY unwelcome, so tirned around and walked out. We will certainly never go back. My friend was very disappointed as she wanted to show me Clare and the friendliness of the town.
Latte worst I've ever tasted. I had to ask for milk! Lady said it is made with powdered milk! £3.20 for a latte made with powdered milk! Should not therefore be called latte under trade descriptions as it is not made with actual milk! Bakewell was just marzipan stodge. I was told to take a seat. Got served with no greeting. I paid and left within 5 minutes of arriving. I wasn't asked if everything was OK when clearly it wasn't. Don't waste your money!
We discovered this wonderful cafe on a trip to Clare today. What a gem for the village. They serve the nicest coffee and the food was of great quality and delicious.
The mismatched crockery and cutlery added such charm, in fact my son especially loved his little knife.
Friendly service from two very happy ladies. Highly recommend.
Lovely food, wonderful service and very good value for money. Try the home made burger with chips.
Fave place for a decent cooked brekkie, bacon sarnies and coffees.

Had a lovely Full English Breakfast here (a veggie version is available too) and a great cuppa! The ambience of this place is lovely, with all of the antiques and memorabilia around you.
