I had the finest dining experience. After shopping at the festival place in Basingstoke, we stopped for an evening meal. The food was cooked fresh and was delicious. All food was prepared and cooked in a traditional Nepalese way. The staff at Chulo Thakali Kitchen are very polite and friendly, and the service is amazing. The warm hospitality and delicious food made our evening absolutely incredible. This place is highly recommended and should be on everyone's bucket list, especially if you're near or in Basingstoke.
I had an incredible dining experience at the restaurant! The menu offered a delightful variety of authentic Nepalese dishes. The momo dumplings were standout. The service was impeccable. Highly recommend !!!

In my honest opinion I had best Thakali thalis in other Nepalese restaurants and this one has disappointed me big time. The positive ratings given here are mostly fake. The food was undercooked and it was very bland. The ambience is below average and I would not recommend it.
Friends pointed me in the direction of this restaurant, although under new management, the food is well worth trying, especially the lamb dishes, crispy lamb, absolutely amazing taste. Lots of different flavours, sweet, sour & spicy. The staff are friendly and willing to assist with recommendations. Give it a try.
One of the worst meals I have ever had. It was uncooked and tasteless. I almost fell sick after eating. Even the mango lassi was terrible. Staff seemed busy taking pictures with their friends rather than paying attention to the customers. Looks like the 5 star reviews here are given by friends of the owner. Wish I could give a negative rating.

The worst food I’ve had in a long time. Undercooked and tasteless. Very underwhelming experience and would certainly not recommend. I am sure there’s plenty of better Nepali places around.
