In conclusion, Chopsticks is more than just a Chinese takeaway; it's a culinary oasis in the heart of Dingwall.
Normally quite good, but latest order was very disappointing. The beef with mushrooms and black bean had absolutely no beef, just vegetables. And the sweet & sour chicken balls were covered in thick, undercooked batter mix. It’s a shame this has gone downhill recently.
Ordered delivery to Huntly campsite (1/2 mile away, opposite Ross County football ground) - lady on the phone hadn't heard of either!!! When I tried to pay by card she said "cash only - we don't have a card machine!!" We cancelled the order, and ordered from "Ding's" (the other Chinese takeaway), paid by card, and was served within 20 minutes.
Chopstick needs to get their act together!
Very good. Really enjoyed my meal
. First class
Dreadful takeaway. The food was greasy and oily tasting, including the wonton soup!!! The soup otherwise had no flavour or seasoning and the dimpling filling had poor quality meat in it full of bits of bone. How can they make a soup taste oily?? And it wasn't even a fresh oil taste, more like several weeks old.
Then the main course, black bean chicken and Singapore noodles. Same thing. Old oil greasy flavour, no seasoning, and you'd never know there was meant to be black bean flavour. Literally everything just tasted of old oily grease and nothing else.
Next day my stomach was telling me what I already knew. Don't ever go there again.
Worst Chinese takeaway I've ever had.
Brilliant. 1st time ordering from here. I had duck chow mein. It was the best I have had from local take aways.. normally I would end up wasting a lot but I have to say I finished every last drop. Not the world's best but the best for this area. Delivery was quick. We waited approx 40 mins from ordering for delivery to muir of ord. Would highly recomend. Very good prices.. snack boxes are ideal for the kids.
The food was rather bland.
It was OK, and the menu had a lot of options, but everything we had tasted like 'generic Chinese food'.
The flavours just weren't great.
Been here many times and never been disappointed. Which is more than I can say about Inverness take-aways. Great food and great prices. Super friendly service always.
