Busy place which is a good sign. That said it was my partner childhood takeaway from some 20 years ago so I'd been told how good it was. There was expectation to be met and it did. The only complaint was that special chow mein isn't in a round tub like it used to be. I told her you don't eat the tub ???? We both enjoyed the food and will return to sample more of the menu.
Starters are never wet yet they chicken wings are saucy and just make the batter awful and soggy. No where on the menu does it state the starts are wet. Maybe add it on the menu. Also the food was all bland from the starters to the mains. Problem with having mix and match sauces and meats is the meat doesn’t sit in the marinade so you can just instantly tell the meat gets added to the sauce so your just eating bland meat with sauce. Food for local scummys. If you want real Chinese food I’d go to TANG.
Satay in chicken and prawn was very watery didn’t taste like satay at all and the prawns were rubbery . Beef in black bean was nice . Salt and pepper ribs were stringy tiny portion of rice compared to other Chinese . Very very salty . Afraid I won’t be using again
False advertisingThey say they shut at 10:00 so I rang up at 9:45 to order some food they can't make it because they're closed but nite be4 I rang at 9.50 and they made my order Absolute joke Friday night you can't even get a Chinese in your own area Because staff want to go home early
As regular visitors to Mr Lams restaurant in Preston we were heart broken when it closed. But thankfully the takeaway has fulfilled are Chinese meal fix. Great food great service, the combo boxes are to die for!!

I haven't had a Chinese for about 7 years. Till this gem was found. Clean and none clutter takeaway. Very lovely people. Now the food was curious. Feller said just try and chicken curry for goodness sake. So I braved it. Chicken curry and boiled rice. Wow. Actual chicken. No grease or fat. And perfect rice. The only place I will eat a chinese/Cantonese sorry. Only place I will eat from. Perfect.
