Not sure what all the 1 star reviews are about.
Never had a bad meal from here.
Always friendly staff.
My wife called into chip stop just after 1pm on wed 20th march. She purchased a bag of chips.£2.20. On getting them home and opening them they were absolutely disgusting. They had obviously been sitting there for quite a while as it was like eating a packet of crisps, all dried up very dark brown in colour dried up batter hard and crispy. The person that served them wasn't very pleasant and did not seem very pleased because my wife didn't have smaller change. It was too late to take them back as they were closing at 2 o clock, it looks like the chips had been sitting there for quite a while and were the last ones before closing. Suffice to say we will not be patronising the business again.
I am/was a long term customer of the Chip Stop, the food was always good, and I never had a problem with it.
The service was okay (just), usually very slow but okay.
Yesterday (Saturday) I called in on the off chance on my way home as we had visitors so I was designated to get the food.
I know things have gone up in price but so have the costs to the customer, I don't mind paying as long as I am getting good value for money, last night clinched my last visit.
I ordered three specials and two large doner/chicken meats with chips and salad, I think it was about thirty quid(ish) or thereabouts.
All the containers were maybe just over half full of food, that is awful considering the cost, the food containers here were always bursting open with food.
Very poor value for money, it seems that since the two girls left the business has slipped a lot, I guess it's the owner who now serves and is trying to save money.
For me, I am going to use George's chippy on the Dudley's Fields Estate, a bit out of my way but everyone raves about the quality of food.
I'm sorry Chip Stop, but it will take a lot for me to return now.
Food was awful, even though supposedly cooked while I waited, made to feel like an inconvenience walking in at 8.30, chips like cardboard, roe was soggy, donner meat was ok but had no salad left, a small child wandering behind the counter, won't be returning
First time using this Chip shop and I have to say the owners was wonderful and friendly and the the food wasn't bad either.. easy 5star review ????
So slow. Doesn’t matter what you order or when you order it it’s never just ready you always have to wait an age. 23 minutes for a bag of chips and mini fish!
How disgusting is your food?? I know now why you are the only chip shop in willenhall with no que. Scraggy kebab bits this means you are buying the cheapest kebab from the cash and carry. I know because im a caterer myself the more expensive kebab the better the quality. Small portions of chips for colossal prices. Chip shops are a good old British tradition STOP WRIPPING US BRITISH PEOPLE OFF. When you are ready to sell let me know then I can at least serve some good quality and good sized portions of food to our good old working class people. I'll keep my eyes open for when it goes up for sale
Absolutely disgusting! The chips were oily and horrible, looks as though they had just been reheated. The kebab meat was burned and diced into small pieces and was swimming in grease, and the bun was so stale it literally snapped in two. Avoid this disgusting place at all costs!
