Waited an hour, tried phoning no answer. Went to collect food, but it was being delivered after being told 30/40 mins, the woman (owner I believe) on the desk was very apologetic and helpful, but by the time I got home it was cold, and more than cold the ‘salt and pepper chicken’ was so over cooked I couldn’t bite into them they were that hard!
Well I must be honest the food was spectacular!
My order was taken precisely an with a smile. It was quite busy an the food came as quick as I hoped, without any mistakes or compromised with lack of quality.
The chicken rice was was so moreish an the pork balls amazing an tender inside yet perfectly crispy. The curry sauce was high grade!!!!
Spring rolls was divine and so tasty.
Mushroom chow mien was excellent cooked very nicely, flavoursome an not swimming in grease. The crispy duck was banging too an portions was busting out of the package unlike some Chinese takeaways who don't fill them up, making me look else where. The attention to detail and passion with a sprinkle of love is what I'm looking for
Keep up the good work!
Ten outta ten
This was supposed to be an anniversary treat, I wish we hadn’t wasted our money as most of it went in the bin. Delivery was over an hour & a half & the food was terrible. Nothing special about the fried rice apart from the bright yellow colour, the sweet & sour sauce was bright, shiny red which set to a solid lump of jelly when cold & the chicken & mushroom was tasteless. Have used Chinese Whispers before but will not be repeating the experience again
Service was lovely so absolute no slander there, however the food was awful. I am no critic, and have never actually found a chinese I didn’t like until I tried here. The tofu had a weird jelly on it (genuinely unsure what this was), the egg fried rice was completely yellow and bland, the spring rolls were soft and the noodles had little to no flavour. We didn’t even eat the left overs which says a lot, beyond dissatisfied with the food. If you want a good chinese, avoid!
Avoid! Ordered food a while ago and one of our dishes was missing I called up asking if we could collect it (original order was delivery) I was told it was definitely in there and it’s not missing! I then was told I would get a refund and never got it! Thought I would try again due to being the only local Chinese and I ended up throwing most of the food away, curry sauce which tasted burnt, chicken balls with just the batter!
RIPPED OFF - AVOID !
Have used local takeaways before, was passing this one on Sat night 16th March so thought I would give it a try. What a terrible mistake to make. I ordered a chefs special fried rice. Bottom two thirds with solid rice, but it wasn't fried rice, it resembled a boiled yellow arborio rice. Top third overdosed with boiled slice carrot, rest of it was two thin slices processed chicken , two thin slices of pork, two king prawns, undercooked broccoli. This cost me £8.10 of my hard earned money. Never again, feeling very ripped off. Next time I will cook this at home . AVOID.
If you are looking for food that lacks taste and would be considered tolerable in a 24 hour ration pack then I would recommend this take-away. This restaurant has unfortunately the worst tasting food I have had from a Chinese restaurant. It is really disappointing as the set-up is kinda good and the customer service is decent. But the food tastes like it’s just been taken from the Tesco own brand Chinese section and heated up in a microwave! The fact you don’t get prawn crackers when spending £24 is really disappointing as this is from what I thought was “industry standard”. And the rice was yellow? Strange! I think all in all the mini spring rolls were the best bit however they were soggy from the microwave:/
Lovely staff but unfortunately the food went straight in the bin as it was insanely greasy and tasted weird. Disappointing as I only live 5 minutes away but will stick with my usual in future.
