Chinese food was good. It has a really good chippy too.
Unfortunately you can only pay cash. That's the only reason I haven't ordered as I don't carry cash.
The fish is very nice from here, the chips are the sort you would make at home (or atleast I do) chunky and I don't know another fish shop that gives you so many it's massive. There is no sit down but I think there is delivery.
I only go to China Inn for their chips which are superb. Unbeatable value for probably the best chips I have ever tasted. The photo is the chips topped off with ketchup, mayo and fried onions.
The food is home style chinese.
Big portions bbq ribs are to die for.
Not a fan of crispy seaweed made to order it by my dinning companion.
I am now fantastic. Can not fault this takeaway. If you have chips with your mains one will do two.

Great local independent chinese. We ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken with Boiled Rice, and Chicken with Black Pepper Sauce with Fried rice.
Both were good sized portions. The rice's were tasty, the boiled rice still had good texture and wasn't overcooked. The fried rice is just rice and egg (and soy sauce) and was very tasty.
Sweet and Sour chicken, the chicken (in a very light batter) was cooled well and tasty on its own and the sauce was great, not too sweet or too vinegary but with a nice tang. Chicken in black pepper, again the chicken (plain) was cooked well, the sauce has a nice heat but not overpowering.
Definitely worth a try if you are in the area, I know we will be having more from them.
Update : the chicken fried rice is delicious (rice egg chicken peas) and the Singapore fried rice (think special fried rice with spice! Rice egg peas chicken char sui prawns beef) was great too
Really like this take out, mostly because their fish and chips are amazing..and you get loads. For me..the best chippy in my area. Their native/traditional dishes are nice and you get enough. They do smaller portions for the kids and lunch time deals. Staff are always friendly and the prices are okay. We always get take out but they do delivery. They always get the order right.
Food is gorgeous from this takeaway, this is our regular bearing in mind we drive across York for this! Good sized portions, and reasonable prices. Waiting area not great but for the food is manageable
Best battered sausage in York. I read that you can pay £40 for posh "one of each^ at flash hotels. Waste of money, they won't be any better than these!!
