I moved to the area 2 years ago, I have been sampling different takeaways since my arrival. In my opinion China House is the best Chinese takeaway locally. Don't be fooled by its appearance, it may look like they are ready for a riot but I've visited here many times and the local low scrapings of society are always hanging around like a bad smell, so I don't blame them for protecting their business.
Food is food, always a service with a smile. Reasonably priced. No complaints other than one has to spend £12.50 or more if paying by card, so take cash with you if your meal comes to less than £12.50.
Came here as we saw all the good reviews, got back tonight only to find we had what can only be described as last weeks spare ribs; couldn’t bite or even cut the meat off - grim, all went in the bin and China House no longer on the treat list ????
Lovely local family run business, been going there for years. Highly recommend it. Unfortunately doesn't take card transactions or deliver themselves. Apart from that, well worth it.
Cheap food and good food. Just moved to the area and will deffo be coming again x

If you want food in a hurry, then order from here because even when it's peak times like bank holidays, you never have to wait long for your order!

Visited last week for the first time. Need to have a mask in the shop and wait outside after placing order. Weirdly, cash only payments, which is even more annoying since cash machine right outside the shop charges for withdrawals. Food was quite delicious and decent portions. Had to order prawn crackers separately which was odd since you get them as extra almost everywhere else. Would recommend this place and will use it again ☺️
