Generally great food, though I wish they would change curry recipe. But everything else has been top notch. Also would be good to be able to use card, as cash is not always available in Mach
Visited here over new year when staying for a holiday and not liking the menu at the local pubs. There’s nothing that I could fault with my salt and pepper chips or sweet and sour chicken, and therefore giving it a 5* rating.
Finally tried this place as a treat to celebrate starting the Xmas leave. Sorry to say the food was barely average at best, in both taste and texture. It really didn’t seem good to be quality ingredients, so much so that we both abandoned our mains as ‘not worth the calories’
Spring rolls are amazing prawn toast is the best prawn toast I've ever had but the crispy shredded beef was awful
All ways het the same quality every time, won't ssybits the best in the world but we have eaten hear 50 + and never had a issue. As Chineese takeaways go it's one of the best in the area. It is only has a small waiting area wich can fill up rather quick. But I normally do a phone order and there fairly precise with there timings. Will visit again.
I was very surprised by the quality given the poor star rating. Vegetables in black bean sauce were really good. Sauce was very passable, very well seasoned, and good consistency. Rice was well cooked and flavoured. Pork fried rice was good, too.
Load of spring rolls in each portion.

By far the best tasting Chinese in our area! We’ve been to them all, including our home town Tywyn and I would absolutely, hands down, travel the 50 minute round trip every time to buy from The China Garden and we’ve been here 30+ times! Always tasty, always still hot despite the travelling, good quality chicken and other ingredients .. surprisingly still good value for money considering the current climate. Chicken chow mein and the garlic chicken and onions is just super yummy.
If you’re visiting, you seriously won’t find a better Chinese takeaway for an hours drive around .. I only scored half for atmosphere because it’s just a takeaway and honestly, lacks in atmosphere but the staff are always so friendly and serve with a smile
We were a little a little apprehensive about trying this takeaway having read some of the poor reviews, very pleased we gave it a try.
Ordered at 6-55 on Saturday evening, we were told 15 minutes, food was ready well within the time, we drove home, which took about 15 minutes, did a quick temperature check of the food - both mains were still above 80°C so still piping hot.
Beef with ginger and onions was great, beef tender and plenty of flavours in the food. Chicken Szechuan was also excellent, good size chunks of chicken, very good sauce, both plain and egg fried rice were hot and good. Portion sizes were generous.
Overall excellent value, great tasty food and quick service, thank you
