It's a chip shop so not sure how to rate atmosphere ????
Always great food and service. Highly rate the fish and House special chow mein. Bit pricey but I am getting old and remember fish and chips being a cheap meal.
Always been a big fan for Chinese & fish & chips However, the fish tonight was disappointing & a shock to be honest! It was 70% batter & only 30% fish! Hardly any white fish inside! Sorry but feel reluctant to order from chi’s again ????
Very best fish and chips locally - cash only, but there's an ATM 20 yards away

Unfortunately I will not be returning £3.90 for dry undercooked noodles and only 2/3 full is terrible.

I've been coming to Chi's for around 20 years and never written a review, so here is my experience.
In those 20 years I've had probably less than 3 issues. Orders are always correct, change is always correct and food is generously portioned.
I've eaten from both the Chinese side and fish and chips several dozen times in those 20 years and never had an issue. Some of the comments about the Chinese portions being "2/3 full" is an absolute lie, they're packed to the brim every time. Tonight I placed a large order and the fish that were left were fairly small, so without asking the lady gave me 2 for 1 to make up for it. They do care about their customers as most are regulars. Prices are good (I've had fish 3 times the cost which have been poor in restaurants). Chis have been criticized for the Chinese giving tummy problems etc but that's never been the case with me. I've had Chinese's around town which have given me poisoning but Chis is always my safest go to Chinese.
Probably my one criticism is that in 2023 they should be accepting card payments, however there is a cash machine and co op 10 feet away.
Bumping the ratings up because they're underrated and overly critizised by overly critical people.
Sweet and sour sauce dont even know what it was nothing like it !! Bbq ribs had nothinf on them looked like they put tomato soup over it and definitely wasnt bbq sauce chicken sate sticks where okay but the penut sauce didnt taste anything like it verry disappointing will not be going back there any time soon granage wok it is
