Lovely Visit to Charlotte’s kitchen this afternoon. Got an array of delicious treats not only to eat in but takeaway too & had an amazing time. Charlotte was Lovely & friendly. Highly recommend a visit- I’ll definitely be coming back!
Charlotte made my son’s 1st birthday cake and she went above and beyond! It was the cutest cake and fit in perfectly with his theme. The cake itself was moist, fluffy and really flavourful even though I asked for a low sugared, dairy free cake. Thank you so much, I highly recommend!
Ordered a cake for my 2 year olds Birthday- the cake looked and tasted amazing and I even very kindly got a little discount ! Highly recommend for cake orders - treats in the shop are always amazing too ????
This was incredibly disappointing. Went in thinking it was a proper little cake place to be welcomed with only about 10 different flavoured brownies and that was it with no signs to state the flavour. No signs outside to state their opening times which are different on google to their Facebook page.
The hygiene of the place was atrocious, the floor was filthy with food, crumbs and dirt ( the place had only just opened) with an open kitchen customers can see I would suggest keeping it clean, this was not the case. The waffle machine was caked with old/burnt waffle mix, there was dirty trays and muffin trays all over the place and the floor in the kitchen again was filthy.
The brownies we purchased were very average, but I must say I’ve experience the WORST coffee I’ve ever had, it was stone cold and tasted like they hadn’t rinsed the machine through after cleaning it!
I was obviously miss lead thinking this was a nice little cafe you could sit in to enjoy your drink and cake but it was very unwelcoming with two tiny tables with two chairs round them.
Can’t fault the service we received with the girl behind the counter being very pleasant and helpful when we asked the flavours but she clearly needs retraining on how to make a HOT coffee.
Birthday cake was extremely dry. It was over baked and had burnt bits on it that had been covered up by icing. The filling was non existent. The cake was supposed to be kinder and vanilla flavour but it didn't taste like kinder at all. No flavour. Would not order from here again and I would not recommend.
Very disappointed. 4 bakes for £10, very overpriced. Cookie was under cooked, and unrecognisable flavour, in fact it was tasteless. Biscof Cookie Pie was horrible, also under cooked.
Bueno Cookie Pie was also under cooked, stodgy.
Old School Sponge cake was certainly not light n fluffy as you would expect a sponge to be. It was heavy and tasteless.
Thank you to Charlotte for my sons most amazing 1st birthday cake you came up trumps for me when I had my cake lady cancel on me 2 weeks before I needed it. The cake was very tasty and looked fantastic, would definitely recommend.
We love coming to Charlottes either for a sit in hot drink and treat, takeaway or delivery, everytging is to die for and Charlotte and her team work so hard!
