Waiting times are ridiculous now. There are so many staff behind the counter but the level of inefficiency is unbelievable. No matter how far in advance you order your prescription it is never ready - so you usually have to wait for over half an hour for something you requested a week ago and even then they don't have all of it so a return trip is needed and another lengthy wait. Somebody needs to step up and work out a system for getting pre-ordered prescriptions ready in advance of the customers' arrival. This place used to be wonderful but now it is abysmal - very sad.
I’ve been going to this pharmacy for 2 years now and it just seems to be getting worse. The people are nice but there just aren’t enough of them to serve the volume of customers.
The waiting time for your prescription can be insane. They don’t fill anything until you get there and it always seems like the pharmacist is away at lunch at random times.
This week I waited 40 minutes for antibiotics while holding an irritated infant in my arms and no one seemed to care. They also never seem to have everything in stock so you have to come back for the remainder and wait the same amount of time for a prescription “that’s already been filled.” I don’t mind if this happens occasionally but this feels like the norm.
I’ve probably spent a total of 10 hours of my life now just waiting at this pharmacy. It’s the closest one to me but I’m going to have to find a new one if it doesn’t improve. It’s just not worth it.
I agree with the reviewer below - the slowness the last few months has been incredibly noticeable.
This is such a shame, because the regular staff are wonderful - truly the nicest, most helpful and attentive people.
But for some reason, it now takes 20 minutes to collect a prescription? Even when you call ahead and ask if it’s ready, you’re left waiting. It’s such a shame, I think this is a wonderful chemist with a great selection of goods, and as mentioned, fantastic front-of-house staff.
I hope they get things back to normal soon!
They are incredibly slow. The pharmacy almost has a coffee shop feel to it, because there are always so many people waiting. Even if there is no one else, waiting times are always at least 15 minutes. Staff is friendly though.
We have now changed to a pharmacy that is a 20 minute walk away, because they are fast, efficient, friendly and seem to have a miracle stack of medication that is hard to come by.
Kind and helpful people, nothing is too much trouble for them. Outstanding service.
It has a good stock of toiletries and medicine. I personally didn't like the "only 2" customers allowed in, as there are no one at the doors to control, but you are likely to be told at one stage by the "caged" staff. It is a big place and could have been better organized. However, staff was pleasant and i did get what I came for.
They always go above and beyond for their customers. I am regular at the pharmacy and always feel looked after and cared for whenever I’m there. Feel privileged and lucky to have a local pharmacy that’s as lovely and amazing as Charles Harry :)
