Rang to book an MOT, was advised i could come in for one in 2 hours, amazing i thought, so went down and left it with them, i said ring me when it's done and went to the pub next door whilst i waited and came back an hour later after i didn't hear anything. Soon as i walked through the door "it's failed i'm afraid and quite badly". They said both windscreen wipers need replacing, and the side repeater is broken so i'll need to book it back in to get it fixed. Firstly i said, well can't you do the windscreen wipers now? And what's a side repeater, never heard of that before? Turns out, it's a fancy word for an indicator within the wingmirror. Well, funny that ain't working i said as it was this morning! They said, it could be the whole unit that would need to be replaced, you might need to take the mirror glass off and go in that way, so would need properly investigating, so, me being me, i pulled the back panel of the plastic wing mirror off, to find, the bulb missing, not blown, not damaged, just missing out it's socket and the socket tucked in, strange that, so i made them replace the windscreen wipers there and then & give me a bulb, fancy how they had a bulb exactly matching what i needed, so i plugged it in, put it all back together and amazingly (not) it worked again! Hmmm. Anyhow, charged me £100 and now it's passed the MOT with a mechanic and receptionist not looking too happy about it either so safe to say they've lost my trust on my first time using them. Wouldn't advise going there if a bulb magically went missing and then to try to be convinced that it's a whole unit that would need replacing on a separate booking.
Kindness shown when we got a puncture during recent floods was exceptional. Without their assistance we would never have managed to get home safely.

The most friendly run garage I have had the privilege to use. Booked my bikes in for mots on two separate occasions. They made me coffee. The mechanic took the bikes in bang on time . All together a very good experience Chris C
Over an hour late and not informed . Revved the hell out of the car for over an hour on and off . oil marks all over the body work : not happy unhelpful. Wouldn’t recommend this garage at all . If you want a good garage check out north garage at lake ! ! !
Chale Service Station was highly recommended by friends and I can see why. The staff are courteous, efficient very helpful (and had the added bonus of a lovely old Labrador to greet you as you enter). :)
Wonderful people. They have been looking after our vehicles for donkeys years! Highly recommend, they also have a lovely residential pooch
