A really new and fresh infusion of Authentic Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine to the cultural diaspora of food being catered to visitors and residents in Kista.
Try the Masala chai for a real taste of the most popular beverage in the Asian sub-continent.
The hosts were really friendly and speak Bangla and Hindi fluently along with Swedish and English.
The interiors offer a glimpse of the iconic moments from the Indian subcontinent in form of murals while key moments from the pop culture era are drawn on the walls.
Once inside, don't forget to click a picture in front of the mirror, reflecting the wall art. Most kids from the Asian South would easily recall such nostalgic architecture from the mid 50's till the turn of the 20's.
Also don't forget to invite your friends to tasty Indian breakfast or lunch coupled with a warm cup of ' Tea (Chai)' ☕.
We were tempted to get in, seeing the Menu and the paintings on wall, good atmosphere, but the FOOD WAS BAD.
We had Aloo Paratha and a Chicken Dosa. Aloo Paratha(2/5) didn't taste like the Aloo Paratha my North Indian friends used to make and what I have had in India. It was more like frozen one.
Chicken dosa (1/5), had very very very tiny amount of shredded chicken in it and it was more like plain dosa that I had to ask where the chicken is.
The Karak Chai was nice (4/5)
Good service by the staff. I was given Gulab Jamuns for free as the staff felt I wasn't happy with my meal and I appreciate it. Although I was expecting glass and tissues on the table which wasn't there, their service was nice.
Please do look into the quantity and quality of food.
I am not sure, but I guess this is Indian Garden's chai point as the payment reflected.
Authentic taste of masala dosa and masala chai.
However pathetic service, e.g. discriminatory behaviour while serving cutleries and then delayed the masala tea despite checking if it is served on table or to be collected. Not a good experience or may be my first time unfortunate but experience.
This is not another Indian restaurant but it is part Indian garden restaurant. I came to know the while swish payment as card payment was not workings.
First and foremost
It is not what Indian cuisine taste like. I had samosa chat and biryani. Chat was okay but samosa was fried in a very bad a lot of used oil it was smelling and tasted bad. And now coming on vegetable Biryani, it was just a rice with some stir fried veggies with sweet curd. They should change the name to fried rice with vegetables.Worst taste and experience
The food was extremely displeasing. We ordered some food. burger and a chicken paratha roll, but the salad served with both items was identical. The taste wasn't authentic Indian; everything seemed premade, lacking any handmade elements "They purchased golgappa from Kista Grossen,???? which was not handmade. Everything was very expensive
