Have been wanting to try this place for a long time and today my family finally tried it!
We ordered Halwa Puri which for £4.50, is a decent price.
The halwa was lovely, so nice and soft, but I think a little more sweetening would have made it perfect.
The channai were not "proper lahori" meaning they should be more soft, they were undercooked, but if Chai4u corrects that and makes sure they're cooked longer you will earn another fanbase of your channai from my family.
The puris are too thick, they were more like parathas than puris. A puri should be thinner and crispy. And in pictures you'll find they're quite thick.
A lower end 3/5 overall, but with the above feedback taken onboard, there's not reason this place can't achieve a 5 rating :)
Came here with my family as a first visit and would highly recommend to anyone in the Rotherham/Sheffield area. Quality of food 5* price point absolutely spot on and customer service absolutely brilliant. Will definitely be visiting again.

As much as I would like to support a local business, I won't be going back.
We ordered the desi breakfast a few weeks ago and had to throw it away. The puri was more like a poppadom (over fried) the Halwa lacked any kick and the Channa masala texture was dry.
I visited this place in early 2021. The desi breakfast at that time was decent. However the place shut down for a while due to relocating or something and Chai 4 u was under new management. I visited today for desi breakfast the lady was nice spoken. But the food ws tastless, the channa tasted like tomato puree and the painis had cold filings inside I.e chicken tijuana was cold. The only nice part was the processed French fries. Plus the guy has the old menus on table and told us to order from there and at the end charged us extra £4.50 on the overall bill saying prices had changed due to "income expenditure". Firstly if its under new management and the prices have changed and gone up you shouldn't have old menus on table and ask customers to order from there. What should've been a bill of £15, turned in to a bill of £19.50, unfortunately the only thing eaten was the fries and half of panini.
Amazing service, very easy to talk to and pleasent on the doorstep. Made me feel at ease. The food is so good, it's perfect in every way - highly recommend as a place to order your food online or go in and buy, you'll not be disappointed!
Ordered Aloo Paratha today. Along with other things...... Love it...received it hot and warm.... ordered 2 as i thought the size would be small but it was quite big... ..Taste was good... will recommed other as well....
