never heard a word after 8 weeks - went there in person with all the relevant information. waited 2 hours to be told the had lost the papers and that i had to complete a new application. left the court not happy and then a phone call they had found them. as i explained what if i had not come to the court i would still be waiting. this court is in chaos from what i have seen - staff not up to the job and it needs serious intervention by the government to make it fit for purpose. it is ruining childrens lives and their families.

i have never in my life given a bad review to any employee i always assume that maybe they are having a bad day. but the two receptionists at Holborn Family court are something else !!! on two occasions they were extremely unhelpful , and rude. I have never seen such bad customer service and horrible attitudes. one star is too much for them
The only negative thing I have to say is that the receptionists could have been more amiable as they can come off as rude. Otherwise it's a pretty standard court.
Pat average court...pray never to have a deputy judge as they are judgemental and unprofessional....judges should only base themselves on facts and evidence not their own feelings but you can formally complain about their conduct though via email judiciary complaints board. May God be with you
This is a joke. I received 2 really badly written emails which everyone I showed this to thought was a scam email, full of mistakes!!!! I can believe 'The Royal Courts of Justice' would let anyone with such poor grasp of English free reign to send emails. Originally received a response 8 weeks ago saying I would receive a decision within 2 working days.
Then told it would take longer and still unable to get a staright answer. Alsi the phone number at the bottom of the letter is incorrect, when you dial it simply gives you another number to call. What a waste of time!!!!!! If only there was a way to give them 0 stars.
Just another example of the corrupt system that is family court!

Absolutely ridiculous service, sent form for decree absolute beginning of august, received a phone call the day they received it asking to call them back, been ringing ever since, managed to get through once was told if we did not know the exact date and time the call was made to us they could not help and to call back. Well we have called back every day since, sent a complaint and emailed and had no response, can’t get through on the phones, don’t reply to emails, not holding out hope that they deal with complaints either. £65 and still no decree absolute nearly a month later. It’s shocking.
Edit to add, we eventually ended up travelling to London in person to chase it up, claimed they had not received payment even though I had receipts to prove I'd purchased postal orders for the amount of £65 and that it had all been sent together recorded delivery, so if they had the form, they had received the payment, said they couldn't find it and made us pay again before allowing us to have the decree absolute. Their service is appalling.
Impossible to get through too, The purpose for contacting them is to resolve an Issue causing stress in the first place. I don't hold out much hope if you cannot even get through on the phone. There is no way to pay online for a court fee either. Such an antiquated service. Frustrating to say the least.
