Dropped in on way past for a quick cuppa and delighted they had 2 gluten free cake options. Carrot cake delicious! £10 for 2 teas, hot filled roll cake and scone so very very reasonable. Lovely place and good tunes
I don't venture this far north very often and I'm not usually one to stop to eat, but this place breaks the mould.
Tourists, tradesmen, truckers and local farmers were all in attendance, which is usually a good sign. The staff were friendly and efficient, the food was great and the atmosphere for both the humans and the dog made a refreshing change from other experiences I've had.
Now I just need to know whose sausages they're using...
I have visited this establishment many times over the years as a HGV driver. This time was the first in a couple of years, and I wasn't disappointed. The food is fresh and the staff are great. If you're on the A1 between Edinburgh and Berwick, pop in and say hello. Also not forgetting dogs, they are more than welcome ????.
The cafe is essentially a truck stop but people travel for miles to go there as the food is amazing. There is an extensive menu of really good quality, good old fashioned proper grub.
The owner and staff are lovely too.

Friendly service and good food with excellent value. We appreciated the attempt to create a dog friendly area and indoor space- it doesn’t work brilliantly for lots of dogs due to its size and you need to sit separately unless you are only 2 people. But we did genuinely appreciate the effort to provide something. We particularly loved the chicken pie and steak pie specials. Thank you and we would definitely stop again if in the area.

I visit this place regularly. The staff are brilliant and always friendly and polite. The food is well priced and good portion sizes. Never had any reason to complain.
