Visited today, ordered large Haddock and chip with a can of Coke at the grand cost of £14.00! ???? (and I'm from London)
The Haddock was cooked fresh, which was very nice especially as was skinless........
However! The Chips were very dry and crunchy, seen like they were yesterdays reheated or the scaping from the bottom of the fryer,
A bit of Tartar sauce and some mushy peas wouldn't have gone a miss either
I recently visited a fish and chips shop in Winchester, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
But let's get to the important part: the food. The fish and chips were absolutely delicious! The batter was light and crispy, and the fish was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The chips were also top-notch - crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. And the portion sizes were generous, too!

Probably the best fish and chips I've ever eaten! Fish is crispy and fresh, chips are amazingly crunchy and fluffy on the inside as they're double fried. Highly recommended.

Would leave 6 stars if I could. Battered sausage beautifully crisp, chips cooked to perfection. My first time trying a pea fritter (sue me) and this was just delightful, lovely minty edge. Service friendly, speedy and welcoming. Nice spot to watch the world go by too.
Senior lunch deal was very fresh and very good. Not too many chips, and the mug of tea good and strong. Ate on the terrace, a sensibly sized meal at a good price.

We visited Winchester yesterday and stopped here for lunch.
We got a very friendly welcome from the owner. We had the lunch time menu of Cod and Chips with a drink of choice included. The meal was cooked to perfection, the fish moist and the batter beautifully crisp and the chips were crispy on the outside whilst being fluffy on the inside. One of the best meals I've ever had in a Fish and Chip shop. We will definitely visit again and so should you.
