Best KPortal Reviews
Small with limited indoor seating, especially on a rainy day, but decent selection of food/snacks. Usual prices for National trust. Great views over the lawns and Castle and plenty of friendly ducks to feed your crumbs to.
It was a little disappointing on selection as it seems the main cafe doesn't send enough up or keep it stocked enough. However the staff were amazing! They explained and tried the best they could.
There are lots of wasps, but that's the time of year, and the ducks are so funny..... they love a treat but don't tell the staff, hahaha.
Tasty coffee, nice service ????
Great view of the castle. There is indoor and outdoor seating but with limited menu compared with the main café which is at the entry. Also this one close at 3pm
Great place lovely food and drink
Nicely situated overlooking the castle with unobstructed views and plenty of tables to use. Location and scenery is very good but food and menu in the cafe is limited. Coffee ok, Panini or Scones and that is just about it apart from a bag of crisp or chocolate bar. Cost is on par with other castle venues. There is another cafe at the entrance and a pub next to the car park with better alternative food stuffs but the scenery isn't as good.
Beatufiful views helpfully staff
Not much available when we visited (11:35am) - no scones and cream tea, as they were still defrosting. The bigger selection is at the cafe / tea room at the entrance of the castle
