All the staff are friendly and are all a hard working and delightful bunch of people! They're all always happy to help you. And if you have important and personal questions, ask for the main pharmacist - Ravi, he's the main man and he is very patient with his customers, especially as a consultant and all other members of staff, are amazing. Brilliant!! So grateful it’s back running as it should be. It did used to be such a fab local pharmacy and it was such a shame to see the dramatic decline under Lloyds with regular prescribed medication constantly being ‘unavailable’ where others could get it. I was about to change my nominated pharmacy just as they were taken over. I’m so glad I didn’t, and waited to see how it was under this new management, as it’s back to being fantastic. Staff are helpful, knowledgeable and we’ve had no issues collecting anything. Big thumbs up from us!
As an experienced patient/customer dealing with many GP surgeries and pharmacies all over Weston-super-Mare for many years, I can confidently say this is one of the very best pharmacies in the South West.
I regularly collect medication for myself, family and (occasionally) friends and never have any problems 'their end' (e.g problems usually arise from GP Surgery delays or drug manufacturer supply issues).
Naming no names but the old management of the pharmacy simply wasn't up to the task of providing a basic and consistent service. Under the old regime, the pharmacy simply buckled under the pressure caused by the pandemic and was in no way fit for purpose. Since then, the old management was crying out for a new team to take charge, rejuvenate the store and greatly restore confidence in the public that use the pharmacy, both local and otherwise.
Fortunately, the good news is the new team has identified any and all of the fundamental problems from yesteryear and as a result has made significant improvements. Crucially, they have decided to put patients/customers first. Castlemead now maintains a constant professional standard with regards to fulfilling patients' health needs. For example keeping patients' well informed with regards to taking medication safely and as directed, answering FAQs, keeping both POM and OTC medication well in stock, being active and expanding in the community etc. However, what really impresses me is that, for such a small team (compared to larger independent pharmacies or companies like Boots) they know their stuff and will always treat you in the most dignified and respectful way, regardless of a patients' presented symptoms. Living proof of quality over quantity.
I shall summarise by stating I will happily continue to use this pharmacy in its present form. I think the pharmacist and indeed the whole team in general are superb. They are very likeable and more importantly very easy to approach, especially if you have a more sensitive condition. These are not just words as I've made it very clear with the new pharmacy management my position over their excellent work ethic and how they have helped me and my family. It's just a shame more pharmacies are not like this - who are allegedly more concerned about money than people's health. If they were more like Castlemead pharmacy the world would be a much better place.
Since taken over from Lloyd’s the service has been amazing. They have always been so helpful & nothings too much trouble. I was after blister packs for my dad’s medication was never able to get them from anyone & they sorted the whole thing for me so his carers can give his medication safely. I can’t recommend this pharmacy enough!
Very friendly and excellent service. The stock availability has improved with new management and most of the stock can be ordered for next day. I would definitely support the local business which serves the local community.
I have to say since changing to Castlemead Pharmacy I have been very impressed with their service, going above and beyond, I would highly recommend them to anyone! Also very cari g and understanding, well done everyone
I have been using this pharmacy for few years now .Even though there were lot of issues when Lloyds were running, The Pharmacy service has improved drastically under new management. I highly recommend using this Pharmacy for their service .
