Emergency pit stop required and Martin could not have been more helpful. Best service I've experienced in years. Thumbs up from me ????and will recommend to anyone ????
Great service, and now they are doing MOTs there
Got my exhaust done today and it sounds like a brand new car!! Highly recommend. They were quick and great quality of work.
high quality of work and very honest! would recommend!
Quick, friendly, Well experienced, good service, nominal charges.Highly recommended!
Approachable and happy to discuss details of work being carried out.
Service and MOT done. Good clean garage (or as clean as they can ever be), well maintained premises, and attentive staff. I liked going there, and they did a good job at a good price. Well maintained, clean courtesy cars that are ideal. Will definitely be back.
Our vehicle was “serviced” by Cartec in Tweedbank and to be done in line with manufacturers specifications and components at that mileage - this was agreed upon in advance with Mike listing the things that are on the schedule.
Ultimately, no confidence they did actually service the vehicle properly and in line with the manufacturers specifications.
The vehicle came back with a bad vibration at idle and low revs/speed that hadn’t been there previously and warranted a breakdown callout the next day
The vibration was simply that the Air filter housing had not been re-secured and torqued down against dampening supports or clipped fully flush.
In regard to the service, the Coolant had not fully drained and replaced, the G/box oil had not been renewed as it should have been.
We were Invoiced for service items that bulked out the bill such as “lubricated and greased all hinges/locks” - despite nothing being done and no lube or white grease anywhere or on any hinge.
There were Basic errors like the cabin filter being installed the wrong way round and the aforementioned lack of care when reinstalling components.
In addition to the invoice itself being bulked out with things that hadn’t been done to justify the labour hours (that just didn’t correlate), we were charged premium price for poor quality parts - £30 for a Quinton Hazell fuel filter, when OEM is £25 direct from Manufacturer, or BluePrint (who their supplier also offer directly) is £17.
In the end, it was the dealer service who noted these things as we used a servicing offer and got them to do it properly for peace of mind.
Having put the car in fully valeted, it was returned in a poor condition and dirty inside.
Objectively, the invoice, service received and costs simply did not correlate with each other.
Subjectively, it’s no good being charged and paying for work that’s not completely properly.
