Castle with views out over the Solway
Lovely well preserved castle. Much more to it than we expected. Spent almost 45 mins looking round. Free entry & well placed signs to explain where original features would have been
A really interesting little castle with a great view! It was a real treat exploring with my 5yr old daughter. A short and pleasant stop off along the A75.
The coffee shop which is separate from the castle sells nice looking cake over the counter but hot drinks are self service. I really didn't enjoy the coffee! It had a funny taste to it. The small gallery was a pleasure to nosey at though.
Castle is closed itself, but there is nice cafe place at the castle, good coffe and cakes very nice stuff
Lovely we stop off for a tea break,cajes were delicious.
Shame they added a pound for some hot water!!!
Has a cute deli next door. Couldn't access the castle at time of posting. I believe masonry checks are ongoing.
It was free unlike a lot of places and we could go inside the castle and see what the original layout would have been like.
Great free castle ruin to explore with stunning sea views. Lovely cafe next to it too! Free parking. Right next to main road so easy access.
