Not much to choose from on menu for lunch but pulled pork in a brioche bun with chips sounded okay. It was a shame that the pulled pork was smothered in black pepper. As the pork was in barbecue sauce didn’t think that pepper would be needed. I hate black pepper so try to avoid it but didn’t expect it on this meal. When are chefs going to take the taste of food away with black pepper. Ruined it.
Used to come here to the bike nights a long time ago and was always a great place. Recently been here for lunch (twice) and both times the food has been amazing quality, presentation excellent and you won't leave here hungry. Good range of beers too. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. Our new fave place to eat and drink.
We went here today to have lunch with our four friends and I can honestly say, it was the worst Sunday roast I’ve ever had ( we eat out frequently)
Ordered our drinks, they bought the wrong ones. Food arrived, four of our six meals were cold, the gravy was like water and some of the vegetables were completely undercooked.
Dinners taken away to be warmed up and by the time they came back, our side dishes were cold and they too had to be re warmed.
The meals were returned and they were still barely warm so nearly all of us left our food.
Spoke to a member of staff who said the chef had only just come back today ??? And they were down a member of front of house staff.
Ordered some more drinks, wrong drinks again!!
It goes without saying, that we will not be returning here. We all traveled a far distance too.
Great host offered to cook a light bite himself after the kitchen was closed. Definitely will visit again as made very welcome.
Lovely rural pub! we went for Sunday lunch and it was awesome! lots of tasty food, and at a very reasonable price. Staff where great too, and there was a good atmosphere.
