Great food at a very good price. We went twice during our week in Kirkudbright and both meals were superb. Highly recommended.

Very average, not as nice as it was in the past, sorry just feel quality needs to be better. I won't be going back.used it for years, and the food to salty was just ok. Do a Google for others
Would rate 0 stars if possible. Worst takeaway I have ever ordered from.
Chicken fried rice is dark meat (which fair enough a lot of people like and I don’t) but this is not specified on the menu or whilst ordering.
Salt and chilli chips tasted of nothing but chilli powder so were completely bland and not nice at all.
Returned the food for a refund and straight away the manager was on the attack, using the excuse that no one else had complained etc. Good for them but I’m sure that’s an exaggeration. He was ridiculously rude and arrogant and enough to put me off even if the food was good.
The only good thing about the takeaway was that the girl serving on the counter was friendly and helpful. It’s a Shame she has to put up with such bad management really.
Also food is extremely overpriced for the quality of it. Avoid at all costs, especially if you ever try to ask for a refund.
Really tasty food, very good service and reasonable prices. On holiday in Kirkcudbright and decided to try Canton House, had 3 lots of meals whilst here (hasten to add we did stay for a month)! Really nice food, tasted fresh, great to have decent sized king prawns as opposed to some we have had in the past which claimed to be king prawns but were so small we struggled to find them! These were lovely. Would recommend the sweet and sour chicken as well and the chicken or prawn curry. Definitely coming back the next time we are here.

If you are staying in Kirkcudbright, well worth getting a carryout we had battered chicken strips in sweet Thai sauce and chicken in blackbean sauce both were very tasty and enough rice in 1 portion for 2 people unless you like a lot of rice
Cash only. Really nicely cooked beef chow mein. Not overloaded with onion. Lovely egg fried rice. Portions were big enough without feeling bloated.
