It was during a very busy time at the hospital that my computer suddenly stopped working. I was lucky to come across the Cambridge Computer Centre nearby and I highly recommend it. Not only did they allow me access to 300 hours' worth of my work, they repaired the hard drive and other computer damage, while also servicing the computer so it looked brand new. Please try this place, they are open and honest about what they can do, and deliver beyond expectations! My best wishes to you all!!
AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS.
- I went to Cambridge Computer repair in order to transfer important data from an old hard drive on an old laptop to a new external disk . Firstly he wanted to charge £150 plus £70 for the external disk, which is unbelievable and straight up theft.
Secondly, he also wanted to charge £70 for looking at the old hard drive and the external disk we brought when he only just plugged it in and took it out and said it would be impossible to fix it.
This man is dishonest and takes advantage of his customers as he never told us that there would be an extra charge for simply looking at what he was going to repair.
Please don’t let yourself be scammed by this vile man.
Thankfully we took our business elsewhere and our data was transferred with a new external disk for just £60.
AVOID THIS PLACE Cambridge Computer Centre, Cherry Hinton Road, Cambridge. Not competent, rude and unprofessional! He has practically stolen my money without doing his job. I went for replacing a cover of my laptop. First, i had to pay 102 GBP in advance to order the piece. Then, he removed the display from the cover to take the number of the model, he took several pictures of all possible part to order the cover (i think he didn't know exactly what he needed) after few days...i went there and the cover was wrong, it didn't fit in my laptop model! He suggested to put screws through the old original cover! I said no and asked to order the right model. He told me that i would have to wait and pay more eventually he would have found the right cover. I said yes but I asked him to send me the pictures before to order it, as i should have to pay also additional money for this. After 3 weeks of silence, i decided to cancel everything and let him fix manually following my suggestion to avoid to put the screws through. He denied it. So i asked him to not do anything else and give me back half of the money i paid him. He asked 65 pounds +VAT for his time (he hasn't done the job, also he removed the display creating an even worst situation), and to pay 10 pounds for some biadesive to fix the display. He did not repair the display, i have to do this by myself! Seriously? He raised his voice telling me that i have been a trouble since beginning! He was so rude that i have decided to leave that place immediately and let him keep all my money. I will never go there again! I promised him this review as well as i have blessed my money to him! Sometimes it's worth to loose money in situations like this! I can't describe how he opened his eyes meanwhile he raised his voice! Horrible! He should at least apologise publicly! This is the worst experience i have ever had here in Cambridge!
Davoud was extremely attentive and provided a first class service and managed to meet my deadline. As I was going away soon after my laptop crashed he chased up the Royal Mail and managed to collect the necessary parts from them rather than lose time. Highly recommended.
Pure scam. Try to avoid this site. A while ago one of the speakers on my computer started making a very annoying sound. I thought the problem was there, so I took it to the store. Before the problem was even known, the owner charged me a labor fee of £ 80 plus fees. When I picked it up again, he tried to charge me another £ 30 more, claiming that he had had to use a special glue, of which each boat cost £ 20. He also told me that he had to clean the speakers, when was something that I had done few weeks ago. It was more than evident that he was trying to take advantage of it. When I returned home, as soon as I turned on the computer, the problem remained the same. Finally I have solved it on my own. It was simply the audio sowftware that was not working, a fairly simple problem that happens often.
Mr. Davoud is really a life saver. I'm working on my dissertation and all around Cambridge I've been cheated with prices and bad service for my laptop. I was afraid it will be this way with Mr. Davoud but I gave it a try. My laptop died and it would've cost a lot to fix it. I can't afford a new laptop and Mr. Davoud showed me a Dell Core I5 8GB ram for 250£. I was a bit worried if I should trust him because of the bad experience I had in Cambridge so far with dealers. I gave it a try and let me tell you, the laptop is amazing. Mr. Davoud recovered all of my important files. He's such a gentleman and he's like a father figure. My parents are back home and the way that Mr. Davoud treated me made me realize that good people still exist. Please, if you need anything, go to this gentleman ❤️
proper thieves took my laptop in they said it needed allsorts doing to repair it when i got it back all the memory had been swapped with different types and the hard drive was a different one mine was 1 tb and it came back with 160gb in ,ive not only lost my hard drive ive now lost all my files total thief and seemingly he is ripping people off on ebay now loads of bad reviews about the clown AVOID BEFORE THEY DO THE SAME TO YOU
Davoud fixed all the issues that i had with my PC (there were numerous) and kept me informed of progress and timescales with new parts that had to be ordered in. Also he gave me advice on additional safeguards that i could take but did not try and sell these to me. My experience of CCC Ltd can best be described as a pleasant and efficient one.
