Ian Scott of Calefy Heating Solutions Ltd attended to our urgent call for help to fix our faulty water heating system. He is obviously highly skilled and experienced, and was able to identify the fault very quickly and carry out the necessary essential repairs quickly and safely. We have previously used Calefy Heating Solutions for work on our gas supply too, which was also a job well done. Ian is cheerful, polite and conducts his business with integrity. Ian Scott of Calefy Heating was the right choice for Nest installations. Used his services for earlier thermostat install with lots of plumbing fixes and knew to call again for our security needs. Cannot Fault this company, we had a very old single pipe central heating system the was very inefficient with a very old floor standing boiler. Ian from Calefy heating came to carry out the estimate he was very thorough, explaining the heating system would need to be converted to a conventional twin pipe system and a new combination boiler fitted, he explained that the hot water cylinder , and the cold water tanks in the loft would be removed , freeing up storage space.,also explained how long it would take, also warning of any disruption . He was very informative, and told us to contact him if we had any concernsThe estimate arrived within 3 days with every thing listed.
We were pleased with the price and asked them to proceed.
There workmanship was to a very high standard very neat and tidy ,
Laser lines were used to ensure everything was level. Everything was tidied away at the end of the day. Once completed Ian explained, all the controls and settings before he left.
So pleased we used this company Top Notch.
Have used Calefy twice now, once privately and once commercially. Received the highest standard of service on both occasions.
Having called around a bit trying to explain the problem, Ian was the first person to seem to be able to identify the issue over the phone. He visited next day to assess and carried out work on the spot that fixed our boiler issue at home straight away. No up-selling and claims of needing a whole new boilers as others had tried ????????
Following the good service, I later had Calefy fix some poor plumbing in my retail unit and replace the old hand wash hot water systems. Quick, neat work that’s still working perfectly today.

Finding someone you can trust to come into your home is a very difficult thing. When something breaks down or leaks, you can only hope that the Check A Trade reviews are right but you still don’t know who to expect when they turn up. Well I can honestly say that Ian from Calefy puts you at ease immediately. He’s respectful, knowledgeable, and a really lovely guy! He keeps to his word, arrives on time and keeps you updated along the way. There’s no nonsense with him, he doesn’t muck you around, he speaks to you in terminology you can understand, and is completely genuine. We have now used him approximately 5 times from
leaks, radiators, new boiler installation etc. It’s so refreshing to know we can call him and he actually responds and actions what is needed as soon as he possibly can. Based on his Check A Trade and Facebook, it’s obvious I’m not the only one who thinks so.
In this day and age it's very rare and hard to find a company that meets all your service needs.
Calefy was quick to give a competive quote, arrived on time, friendly and very professional. Explained what work needed to be carried out and final invoice matched the quote. To top it off cleared up any mess made. ???? Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.
Ian installed a new boiler for me, and serviced my heating system. Very happy with everything, Ian was abreath of fresh air compared to other contractors and a pleasure to deal with.
Very happy with our new boiler installation, they responded very quickly and replaced our faulty boiler within a couple of days. We'll definitely be using them again, very neat and tidy.
