Used to be a regular not anymore its way over priced and lucky if you get served Kirsty is too busy worrying about her make up the rest eh the bar maids are new only last a few month if that would rather go to Edinburgh for a pint than sit in this pit
Rooms were tiny more like a cupboard. music was far too loud past 12 and bar lady with whitish blonde hair selling sniff to the boys in the pub. A like a bit of a jolly good time when I can but as this was a place to stay after a dear friends funeral they seemed to show no respect when i asked them to turn it down i was told someone called kirsten would deal with it and never showed up to deal with it. we won't be back.
12 of us (all ladies) visited this hotel on 16th August 2019. On arriving we were greeted by John the manager who was very friendly and helpful and recommended places to go and even got us taxies. The bedrooms were lovely, very clean and comfortable, not one of us complained. Evening meal was excellent and lots to choose from, all freshly made and very reasonable. Breakfast was also very good, we all had full Scottish breakfast. Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. We only stayed one night but would definately stay again. ( do not be put off by the outside)
Booked for one night and relieved it was only for one night as I think I would have left and sourced somewhere else to stay. ||This hotel is situated amongst a council estate and upon arrival it looked just like a block of council flats. Very dreary and extremely depressing. ||The rooms and hotel I have to be honest and give credit where due were extremely clean. Couldn't fault it for cleanliness. Rooms quite dated and so hot it felt as though you were in a sauna, windows you could only just slightly open but made no difference given how little they open, due to this impossible to sleep. ||There is also a bar which has said before very much like a working men's club. I am no snob but the class of people this attracts was very off putting. We had to sit and listen for nearly three hours of foul disgusting language from drunken locals using the bar. Not very appealing to any potential guest! ||The only nice experience in the hotel was the guy serving the breakfast. Lovely lovely guy! The breakfast was plentiful and probably would have enjoyed more if I hadn't witnessed the cook/chef wiping his face and his beard with a tea towel and then placing it back down on the kitchen unit where the food was being served.||All in all if you are only looking for somewhere to put your head and don't mind feeling like you are roughing it then this will probably be suitable. I was fully aware this was only a 3 star and certainly wasn't expecting anything more but this place certainly lacked any kind of class and without a doubt intimidated by the locals.
Plenty of parking. Good restaurant. Night staff vs day staff was quite day and night. Night staff seemed bothered to assist; day staff were friendly, smiling, and energetic. The room was clean. The shower was adequate. I found the mattresses too firm for my liking, although that is a personal preference. I used the term mattresses because I had booked a double room and the bed was actually two twins pushed together. That gave the uncomfortableness of both mattress edges, as well as the gap between the mattresses. If the bed had been only 1 mattress, it would have been considerably more comfortable, and raised my rating of this hotel.
The hotel is dated, though kept fairly clean. No elevator, so be prepared to carry luggage. Room was clean and amenable, though small. Restaurant was crowded with people getting drunk. All this would give it a 3 star. However, the heater in the hallway with my room was stuck on max heat in the middle of summer. It was easily 35 deg C. I reported this to management and they did not see a problem nor did they think anything could be done. They were not interested in giving a refund. I will not stay here again.
We were pleased with our refurbished room. The staff were all friendly and helpful especially David Fortune the barman cum everything. When we arrived the TV wasn't working and the toilet seat was not secure. He fixed both in 10 minutes. The full Scottish breakfast was memorable.

We arrived as a party of six motorcyclists and when we looked around at the area we decided to put on our extra bike locks - the hotel seems to be located between the dock area and a well populated area of Rosyth.||Check-in was easy and efficient. We had a couple of drinks in the bar - excellent prices and friendly staff.||We all met for dinner in the hotel restaurant later that evening - I took the recommendation of a local and started with a prawn cocktail - plenty of prawns, but they were defrosted and dried out. ||People who ordered the curries said that they were great.||No alternative for eating out as the hotel is isolated. Bedroom was very clean and bed very comfy.||Breakfast next morning was very good.||I think the hotel was ok for the price that we paid and we didn't have cause to complain. ||Our motorbikes were still there next morning!
