Best KPortal Reviews
We waited nearly an hour for a breakfast and no one apologised, even when we asked for food. The portion was horrendous, so small for the price and the food was terrible. Soggy spinach, cold beans, cheap bread. Honestly don’t understand the good reviews, such a waste of nearly £30 and we only had two breakfasts.
Regularly stop here for a morning coffee when out for a cycle. Service is always friendly and efficient and the brews are all right too! Worth a visit.
Had a coffee and a brownie before heading off for a bike ride. Both were very good. Great that they have somewhere to store your bike inside. Would definitely go back.
Great place of your an avid cyclist or just someone looking for a lovely quirky place to have a hot drink and cake or something hot to eat. Lots of interesting memorabilia on the walls to look at with a nice sofa at the back.
I went to the Velo for breakfast a few months ago and it was amazing and the service was great even though it was very busy. However went on there today with a friend for breakfast and it was very disappointing to say the least. I had a Veggie breakfast. The rosti was tiny and was so rubbery that I couldn't even put my knife into it. I took it back and what came again obviously hadnt been fried but microwaved so was not eaten. So different from before and for £12 I'd be reluntant to go again and that's a shame.
Great for cyclists and anyone else really! As Arnie said "I'll be back!"
Great coffee and cake. The interior has a good atmosphere, complete with friendly staff. They serve a wide range of soft drinks, including tea and coffee. There was 7 different locally made cakes to choose from on my visit. A bicycle service station is also located within the cafe. The service station looks to also sell bike components including gears, tubes and lubes.
Popped in for a coffee and sausage bap. One had 1 sausage cut into 3 slices in a bap. For over £4.50 I would expect at least 2 sausages.
