Had a meal delivered. Cold chow mein but good flavour, rice was just warm and really congealed, see photo. and the Sweet and sour chicken was dry and overcooked. Wouldn't recommend and will not use again. It's never consistent quality, too hit and miss to give this place a better rating.
Loved the service last night food arrived on time nice and hot ,fish beautiful there was 7 of us and we were all impressed, definitely go to busy bees again
Great chippy and lovely chips, my local is a different chippy but this one does the best spring rolls and savory cakes. I'm really glad that I can get these. Really nice people in there as well. I only go to two chip shops, this one and The Swan, because they are the best.
I've been a customer of Busy Bee for many years. I've never had a reason to complain about the food. Staff have always been friendly and very efficient.
Chips n gravy £4:50 seems outrageous though service is friendly
My family have been going to Busy Bee for nearly 40 years and rated it highly then. Lately, however, the gravy has been awful - large congealed, jelly-like lumps throughout the dinner. It went in the bin! Thought we'd try cod and chips, thinking it was a safe bet - no such luck. The cod had dark black flesh throughout, and I don't mean fish skin. Most off putting. All second, third chances used now. We won't be returning. All you get when you phone to tell Baz's son, is an apology, but no recompense. The meals aren't cheap either. Very disappointing.
The best haddock and chips around for me! I understand everybody has their own tastes but the fish always has a great batter and the fish is moist and tasty. The chips are cooked well. I can’t be doing with them underdone and they’re great here. Love em……
We have lived locally all our lives and always used Busy Bee. Food is always nice. Massive down side is they don't accept card payments, what is that about in this day an age? Tax avoidance? Really inconvenient to have to go out, lose my parking space to drive to a cash point, then have to park miles away and walk back, just shouldn't happen!
