There were already flowers out but loads more on the way. It will be spectacular in a couple of weeks time!

Amazing find, well worth seeking out. If the gates are locked the key is available from the very friendly local village store about 150yds up the road. The castle itself is ruins but still very interesting to explore. Easy walk, but a bit muddy in places so dress accordingly.
Nice little ruin hidden away. Worth a little walk to see it, could take a picnic and male an afternoon of it.
As others have said, need grab the key from the local shop and pay a small donation.
Lovely place to visit, we took our dogs there and picked blackberries on the track back to the road. You will also have to get the key for the gate to let yourself into the castle from the local shop.
