Absolutely disgusted.
Paid for a room and when I turned up I had no answer at the door and had to turn around. I was waiting outside for nearly an hour and a half. Everywhere said it was open and I also had no answer when I tried ringing a million times
An unexpected last minute stay but was great. Fantastic friendly staff made me feel very welcome. Simple single room but had everything I needed. Immaculately clean very impressed. Would highly recommend and definitely stay there again ????
Just went to this place for a party recently, people were not very friendly or welcoming, we sat down and a girl in a snakeskin dress told me to move coz the table was for her large family. The place is set up in rows and you were up and down as people go to their seats and everytime someone moves to get a drink, go to the toilet you were up and down all the time. I had a beer spilt over me coz this guy knocked his glass all over the table and someone had actually spilt drink down my back while they were trying to pass me, not even a sorry from either of them. We all moved nearer to the disco and realised why those seats were free, the noise was horrendous. He actually turned it up half way thru, the guy on the disco must be deaf. There were kids running around and screaming and shouting, climbing all over the pool table and chairs ect., till gone 10pm and although the party was aimed at an older person the dj was doing musical chairs ect., for most of the night. At one point he told the kids to go and get a bra from someone, not something you expect kids around 10 to do, is it. The toilets were awful, toilet paper thrown around the place, the toilets and sink not very clean and the electric dryer did not work and no paper towels so had to dry my hands on my top that someone had already cover in beer. The food was pretty basic, mostly egg and cheese sandwiches or wraps, nothing to shout home about. When our friends decided to leave at 10.30 we asked them for a lift to our hotel. The venue was old and very run down, it needed to be completely renovated. Not somewhere I would like to spend my evenings in and I think my husband should have gone to celebrate with his old work colleague on his own.
Ok so this is not the ritz. But for the price you pay it’s got everything you need. Good size room, and really friendly staff. Only negative was the lack of soap. Non whatsoever, so my husband had to go find a shop to buy some. My brother had his birthday in the function room. Great little setup. Cheap booze and great food.

Good value for money. Do not expect too much, but there are few alternatives. Check in only possible at limited times. Rooms are on first floor, on top of the pub.
City centre, bus station and train station (with fast connection to Liverpool) are all at walking distance.
I enjoyed staying here. ALL the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to all amenities, motorway networks and airports. ||A tidy pint downstairs, and a pub that caters for everyone. ||||Many thanks to all.
