Well worth a visit. Very pretty place to start your walk along the Brecon canal. Public boat trips and private boat hire available from ‘Dragonfly Cruises’ at the basin. We had food at the Theatr B café, which has plenty of seating outside to watch over the boats coming in and out. We will be back to watch either a show or go out on one of the boats…..or both.

A great place to start a walk along the canal...away from the basin, with it access to the theatre, cafe and adjacent parking.

Leave the basin by going under the canal arch and proceed along the canal path, past delightful cottages, sports field and on into the countryside.

We did our walk in bright autumn sunshine and zero degrees on the thermometer- well wrapped up, it was a delightful experience.

Zoey the dog met new friends, canine and human, enjoying new smells and valley vistas as we went.

The town centre, lying behind us as we walked is delightful too. Already decked out with Christmas sparkle at the time of our visit...

A hidden gem. Wonderful starting point for walking or cycling the canal. Canal boat trips available. Close to town for canal boat with moorings available.

Must say great walking up and down the canal, can do some fishing if you want? (Not sure if you have to have a permit) walk to the theatre where you can have some food and drink from the cafe looking over the canal and even take a ride in the boat up and down the canal very nice place worth a try and visit.

Nice photographic place, you can have a small 20 mins walk following the canal.

What a beautiful place to visit. Whether you decide to walk the canal path or take a trip on a boat the surroundings are beautiful. We booked a boat for 8 of us to celebrate a birthday and had a fantastic time and what an experience. Would definitely love to take a boat out on the river again.

We love this place so much we keep going back there wonderful and beautiful place highly recommended lovely for the dogs to run along the path. Everybody was very friendly.

What a nice place a real Jem would be nice to go back for a ride on the canal boat in the summer
