Went in here recently for the first time after walking past the place often.
It was worth the wait! I had a large steak, at a very reasonable price of £4.50 compared to other places. The filling was hot and the pastry wasn't heavy either. Delicious meat and veg, and plenty of it.
Just note that it's £5 minimum for card payments, otherwise cash.
I'll definitely be back again for my pasty-lunch fill
Having sampled many pasties from many establishments in Cornwall over literally decades, this is my favourite bakery to head for. Tasty, lovely moist and peppery filling of potato, onion and swede with a generous amount of perfectly seasoned meat, all encased in beautifully cooked pastry you will want to eat all of. Highly recommended.
Delicious, we wanted to try a Cornish Pastie and the shop was recommended to us, big chunks of beef , loved it.
One of the best pasties we've ever had.
Had a veggie pasty from here, absolutely dreadful. Almost all turnip inside (not thoroughly cooked) a little onion and potato. Pastry heavy and burnt at the bottom edges. Definitely will not go back

Bought 2 “Midi” Steak pasty’s today. Worst pasty I’ve had in a while. Not only were they dry and burnt on the bottom, there was not a trace of meat in either pasty.
Both labelled Steak on the bag, I paid £6 so not a cheap pasty considering they aren’t much bigger than what used to be called cocktail. Steak Pasty with no Steak, brilliant.
I'm almost 65 years old and have eat a lot of pasties. Today, I had the best one ever, large steak variant at £4.25. Tasty, moist, peppery, perfik :)
