Das Essen war soso lala gewesen! Jedoch preislich sehr teuer! Nach 10 Jahren werden wir etwas Neues suchen!
Als Hotelgäste besuchten wir am Abend dieses Lokal,
aus Gründen der zahlreichen Reservationen, wurde uns ein Tisch für 2,5 h angeboten, was uns ausreichte.
Sobald man in dieses Lokal Eintritt , findet man sich in Paris wieder. Eine Brasserie mit viel Charme und liebevollen Details, wie Messing und dunkle Hölzer !
Sehr freundlicher aufmerksame Servicemitarbeiter. Als Liebhaber der Gänseleber verkostete ich die gebratene Leber , welche ausgezeichnet schmeckte von bester Konsistens, eines der Wenigen Restaurants bisher, welches die Zubereitung beherrscht!
Das Tatar war zart und von würzigen Geschmack, was einem Gaumenschmaus entsprach.
Für Liebhaber Französischer Küche ist dieses Lokal einen Pflichtbesuch wert.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Brasserie Grand-Chêne inside the Lausanne Palace Hotel. This is a beautiful brasserie with lots of wood. It exists since 1950’s and saw many celebrities going there as evidenced by name plates and pictures. The food is very high quality French brasserie style. The turbot fish I had was well prepared and cooked and the sides were good as were other guests’ (perch fillets; octopus). They also prepared upon my request an off-menu berries & fruits salad. Service was generally kind and proactive. They are famous also for their seafood platters.
Un peu à l'étroit et bruyant, comme toute bonne brasserie qui se respecte. La salle est jolie. La carte propose des plats typiques brasserie/bouchon. Un peu gastro chic en restant basique dans les saveurs. Le plateau de fruits de mers sont alléchant mais coûtent 2 bras. Le service est carré et tout bien maîtrisé.
It's an disappointment to be brought to a table outside of the restaurant, below, less than a metre away from kitchen. Refer to attached picture. That is the area where the kitchen is located. Having a chef table proposal right in the kitchen area supposed to be ok. But not in that specific area. We are Asian. Doesn't mean we are slaves or servant.. I am paying to dine in here, not paying to be humiliated. Racists restaurant.
One of my favorite restaurants in Lausanne, they have great classics dishes from the region made with great ingredients and delicious recipes.
The staff are all very friendly and the chefs are amazing ????????
