Architecturally it’s a bit ‘Basildon’. Apart from Roy’s (which is excellent) and a decent bakery and newsagent, there are two charity shops. It’s an under-advantaged place, but it’s clean and honest.
We went to Roy's cafe and had a good breakfast, then we went to collect photo's from a 50's photo shoot my old son and partner treated me to. The young lady photographer Lisa was brilliant.
Roys being the main shop in the centre can get a bargain if you look ! Bakerys nice an bargains in the charity shops so worth a look around
Very large car park makes it easy to park at all times. Roys is a fine supermarket selling every commodity from clothes and shoes through to garden and DIY and foodstuffs and drinks. There is also a cafe, bakery and a few other outlets serving the community. A superb one stop location for all essentials and more.
There are some good shops about but it has lost a few shops like a pharmacy, post office, bank & even a petrol station a few years ago.
The main company running the site ( Roys ) have been improving the site recently though, like: installing LED lights across the site & getting a new entrance sign.
The staff that you see are very kind & I would recommend going there if visiting the area.
It's ok quieter than it used to be and looking a bit dated now. Roy's has a good selection of local produce. Ketts Hill bakery offer some nice cakes, bread and pastries. Coffee and takeaway rolls freshly made.
Very helpful & friendly staff, easy parking
& some decent charity shops.
Went into Roy's. Found it to be very clean, with tidy, well stocked shelves. Separate cafe across from main store. Several other small outlets & charity shops.
