Rod and Jules are perfect hosts in every way. The rooms are comfortable, the surroundings are magnificent and the Pembrokeshire coastline is just made for walking, nature watching and if you want to be active, then that is catered for as well. Don't forget to visit St Davids! Loved the sign for Rural rumble strips!
Our stay was lovely, we felt extremely welcomed and at home! Our room had a log burner which was great in the evenings. The land and surrounds are beautiful and the breakfast is even better! For a get away retreat it’s perfect. Jules & Rod were fantastic!!
Fantastic. Lovely bedrooms with lounge furniture. Spacious bathroom. Old style but modern functionality. nice selection of guest toiletries. Charming, welcoming and helpful hosts. Breakfast also efficient and varied. Able to meet the other guests too. Manor in its own grounds, so able to walk past the sheep and cattle to visit the ruined chapel and the river nearby. We only visited one night, but felt right at home. Thoroughly recommended.
Good sized rooms, great walks nearby, quite tranquil and just gorgeous! There are extra blankets if you still feel cold even with three heaters on and there's plenty of reading nooks in the room. The internet is strong in the room and there are different connections in the dining room or hallway to maintain the bandwidth. I was able to teach my yoga class via zoom whilst on holiday. The hosts were accomodating and informative. Would highly recommend this place.
August 2019 stay.
No children, interesting rule, would make you think it is tranquil. Think again, our stay was ruined by the almost constant disturbance of children screaming and dogs barking, talking of which the dogs were in the kitchen! The kids belonged too a tenant of the manor and although we asked.... nothing was done!!!
Furthermore we were not very impressed with the room's standard, hair in the bath and in the bed, do not need to say what type of hair.
Oh and do not mention the road!
Hostess was rude, obviously 'new rich', terrible false accent. Host ok.
To sum up, if it had been free, we would have still been disgusted.

This historical manor is set in a magical location hidden by trees and situated at the side of a river. The room we stopped in wad the gold room that has a balcony over looking the beautiful grounds and the river. On suite bathroom with a raised jet bath in the centre of the room and a walk in shower. You are provided with everything included bathrobes. When the lights are out it's pitch black not a light to be seen anywhere. You have a telly with freeview and coffee and tea provided. Breakfast you choose the night before what you would like and leave the sheet outside your door. You can choose from. A variety of breakfast items and the time you would like it. The breakfast was lovely and filling.
Rod and Jules are very accommodating and are both lovely hosts.
We stayed at this wonderful Manor House for a week in June, the home of Jules and Rod, and loved every minute of it. Staying in the best suite in the house (Gold Cup) we had lots of room, the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in and a gorgeous bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. The hosts couldn't have done any more to make our stay more enjoyable, nothing was too much trouble. Although a B&B, Jules laid out the dining room a couple of evenings (napkins, wine cooler - wine chilled in their fridge beforehand - even a candle and lighter!) and left us to enjoy the food we had brought back. The next morning everything had been cleared as if by magic. If you want stunning views, an idyllic setting and utter peace and quiet, this is the place for you. The fabulous breakfasts deserve a mention and the homemade marmalade (ask Jules for the recipe). We left having been thoroughly spoiled and feeling like old friends. They never tired of answering our many questions and always made time for a friendly chat. We would definitely go there again. Susanne and Eddie, Leicestershire.
If you want a really authentic night in a real English mansion, this is the place to be. Really big rooms, a huge estate, and enormous yard, excellent for a walk down to the river through the sheep, wauw! Really nice beds, WiFi available, spacious showers with baths, and an excellent breakfast! This is the place to be!
