Not a food pub. Went there for a meal and wasn't impressed. Definitely more of a drinking/social pub with nibbly food for drunk people.
Lovely evening with friends at the Bottle and Glass in Scothern. My steak, medium rare, was cooked to perfection. The home made beer battered onion rings were an extra treat - best I've had in a very long time. Many thanks to all concerned.
What more can I add, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff just added to the experience of the excellent meal.
The menu isn’t huge but by gum it’s excellent quality throughout.
Nothing was a trouble for the staff, they were just happy to help and see us happy.
If you want an excellent meal in convivial surroundings then this village pub is for you.

I’ve just been down and had lunch, it was absolutely delicious. I had the lamb and mint roll and chips and it was spot on! The lamb was excellent and everything was cooked perfectly.
The chef came out and said hello to our little boy and Mandy was very welcoming as always!
The guest ale was tribute and a really good pint
Popped in for a cheeky pint on the way back to our accommodation. Can't say much about the place apart from the fact that the pint was excellent.
I love the manager at this place Matt he is a great guy.
Unfortunately didn't get to eat as the restaurant was closed the day I went.
Chatted for a long time in a friendly and welcoming pub. Great staff, leisurely yet efficient. Wonderful atmosphere. Forget the cold. Here is a place to warm you through and through.
