Lovely proper chip shop (not a kebab shop). All of the fish is freshly cooked to order and is absolutely delicious. Having grown up in a seaside town, I’m used to very high quality fish and chips and this exceeds my standard.
The large cod and large chips is big enough for two to share.
The staff are lovely and remember your orders/how you like things.
The best fish and chips we have had for ages. This is the first time we have been to the Blue Marlin but what a find.. The staff were friendly and we got served very quickly and all was freshly cooked. The fish was really hot, good and tasty and a decent size. It did not all fall apart like at other shops. Lovely crisp batter and again not over battered .The chips were nice and crisp and lovely potatoes.
We would highly recommend and will certainly be back.
We had cod, battered sausage, chips and mushy peas… everything was absolutely delicious - the kind gentlemen working also gave me a sausage for my dog! I wish I lived nearer - YUM!
Well worth the journey, then sit near the river on the bank.

Fantastic quality meal & fast, friendly service. Fish & chips were so fresh and best I’ve had in a long time. Still nice & hot when home 15 minutes later.
This is the second time I never got what I ordered. This is because the shop was filled with Chinese school kids and when they left in poured a large group of Spanish school kids. Cod was dry two large chips ordered and two small chips received. Complete waste of time and energy
