Absolutely brilliant thank you. Served by a very nice chap. He couldn't do enough for us. Got us a table at short notice. They clearly understood my need for Gluten free food. I would recommend. Steak cooked beautifully.
Absolutely delightful landlord. Rang up to see if we could pop down for dinner with 3 adults and 3 children. He saved us a table and when we got lost on the way and rang he gave helpful directions! Lovely food and varied menu. Excellent service. Lovely atmosphere.

The best seafood platter I’ve eaten at a pub, the staff were an absolute delight (the landlady was especially amazing), very reasonable prices and a very cute atmosphere with a Welsh setting.

Will definitely be returning later this year when we visit Brecon again!
Recently refurbished this country pub is now brighter and more welcoming for the non-local (some of these older pubs might seem charming but have a distinct "you're not local" atmosphere). That's not true here: friendly staff, good beer and while some might find it a bit quiet - it is a country pub after all - that's surely better than having to take a megaphone with you to hold a conversation.
Sunday lunch is excellent: ingredients locally sourced, made to order and plenty of it. Bring a healthy appetite if you're thinking of more than 2 courses. Very very good value for money and absolutely delicious. Best sunday lunch I've had in a long time.
