It's a lot bigger than what I thought. The only other time I was there (sort of) was a weekend and it was so packed I never knew it had a back room with pool tables.
Well positioned and has plenty of parking. Decent sized room with comfortable bed and free wifi also serves an excellent breakfast. With any luck I will be here again when in the area (only three rooms) so early booking is advised. Rooms are above the bar so expect a little noise but nothing too bad!
Stayed at the Black Bull Inn for 2 nights while in the area for a wedding. Easy to find and centrally located, free parking. The Inn comprises 3 bedrooms (all ensuite) and a bright dining room for breakfast above the pub - accessed via a private door rather than through the pub. We had room 3, spacious enough and spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfy, the bathroom with power shower was fine and the kettle with tea, coffee and biscuits was well used! Breakfast was great - orange juice, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, croissants and butteries to help yourself to and hot food cooked to order. We enjoyed full Scottish - bacon, sausage, black pudding, potato scone etc as well as a huge omelette and smoked haddock and eggs. The welcome each morning was warm and the atmosphere very friendly. There was noise from the live band on Sat night but otherwise all was great. For around £60 per room per night bed and breakfast you really can’t go room. Would def come back.
I booked two nights for a base of operations to check out some local places of interest. The staff was very friendly, extremely helpful, and my room was clean and comfortable with good security. There is private parking behind the pub.The breakfast was plentiful and good. There were plenty of good places to eat within walking distance. My only caveat is that the rooms are over a bar, so there might be some noise at night until the bar closes. But all in all, a very good choice for me as a solo traveler.
We only live 25 miles away but we decided that we would stay here when invited at a 40th birthday party.|What a great decision. Room was spotlessly clean, bed comfy...what more do you need? |Yes it is above the bar so could possibly be a bit noisy but we saw the last 2 songs of the live band downstairs then went up to bed after midnight on a Saturday night and had no problems getting to sleep.|||Breakfast was brilliant - freshly cooked..not left under a warmer like chain hotels do. And a good choice too not just a full breakfast but smoked haddock and eggs too!||Judy, the host was warm and funny. ||Next time we have another night out in Inverurie I'll be straight on the phone to get a room again!||Great value for money.|
Clean and friendly. The breakfast was good and has vegetarian and gluten-free versions.
There was a band playing downstairs when I arrived, which was noisy (it is a pub) but when they stopped, the room was quiet, comfortable and warm.
Four of us stayed here at the Black bull Inn for two nights b&b for a fishing weekend in Inverurie. We had a great time staying here nice clean rooms comfortable beds. Tea and coffee available in rooms all rooms en suite complementary toiletries free wi-fi plenty parking.|Lovely breakfast made for us each day couldn't ask for anything better. From a bowl of porridge to a full Scottish breakfast to an vegetarian breakfast. If you need a packed lunch they are available if needed. The bar down stairs had a good choice of local beers and spirits with entertainment on with a live band on the Saturday night when we stayed. We where made really welcome by the locals and staff would definitely stay here again. 10 out 10 for the staff and owners |
It was only a day before the, "lockdown," that I went to the Black Bull Inn. The landlady serving was very friendly and welcoming as I entered the pub. The log fire was cracking away in the background while locals happily enjoyed their drinks.
Dogs are welcome too.
Overall a good pub with a lot of natural furnishings. The floor in the public bar is original in all its splendour.
