Very friendly and attentive staff, especially the barman. Nice cocktails though a fairly limited list of ingredient drinks with no stock of local gins, for example. Starters were simple but tasty. The main course (lamb with crispy kale) was delicious and perfectly cooked. Wine list not massive but well priced. I found the puddings overly sweet although this is often the case.
Lovely place, pleasant staff, excellent food. Nice to be able to get a meal on a Sunday evening. Menu seemed a bit limited but in fact all that our party chose was lovely and ample. A bit of a wait for food, but it was fresh and it gave us chance to chat. We would go earlier next time.
Had a lovely fish pie as a mid week lunch out. Veg were from the freezer, which is an off season thing, but fresh would have made the whole meal a 5 star! Pleasant staff and venue. Excellent coffee.
We have been to Narberth a few times as we stay at friends in Llandissilio. My wife and I went to Bistro@No13 on Saturday 3June (the night of the champions league final) and were very impressed by the restaurant.
The new owner (2 months) has created a very relaxing warm and comfortable atmosphere in the restaurant. The menu has a nice simple variation to some lovely dishes and the wine choices are very good and great value for some very good wines. We had the Shiraz at £15.95.
I had a starter of smoked haddock fish cakes with homemade tartare sauce which was delicious. My main was the lemon sole on crushed new potatoes and samphire.
Both really lovely and tasty.
The restaurant has a small friendly drinks and cocktail bar to the front and the restaurant leads on from this towards the back.
I thoroughly recommend this place and especially if you are looking for something that is cooked fresh, carefully thought out and that little bit special.
Excellent food, attentive staff and beautiful decor. Only issue was the smelly nail salon nextdoor, you can smell it as soon as you enter the first door. The smell is unnoticeable when you in the bistro eating area itself though.
We went here for a family reunion meal, and we got seated at the front bar area and had drinks while we looked at the menu and ordered for the table.
Once we were ready we got taken through to the restaurant which had beautiful mood lighting.
The only thing that let it down was very slow service and slightly overpriced for the options they had on the menu. They also didn't provide a great option for dietary requirements.
Disappointing. Food sounded lovely but was infact very amateur. Seabass with potatoes and vegetables, not cooked very well and very llittle flavour. Service was laclustre and there seemed to be a strained atmosphere. A shame as we had heard good things previously but very much doubt it could have been based on the current set up, especially the chef. The interior was very nice but I'm afraid that was our highlight. Food was very mediocre indeed. We left feeling like it had been a waste of money and that no one really cared less.
Good quality food well prepared. Sensibly priced wines and excellent service. Friendly atmosphere just needs a few more mid week diners.
