CAUCTION - Be aware or AVOID this car park owned by The Trout farm but managed by Ardpark. The car park machine time has not been updated for BST changes and hence gives you a false ticket time and subsequently makes you think when you return you are late and go to pay more money which is a win fall for the management company and the Trout farm. I raised this to Emily Thomas at the Trout farm via email given online but they would not take any responsibility for it and just said take it up with Ardpark company as not their responsibility. A lot of stress and extra time by myself to establish the issue over two days as the fine/charge would be £100 if I had returned late to the car park. The sign on site says you can pay later online as there is no mobile signal at this site. When I went online later I could not see anywhere to pay for an earlier time for this site as I thought when I reviewed my ticket on return to the car I saw I had potentially overrun. I returned the following day to review the sign and machine time which I then discovered was wrong. Very disappoint with the view of Emily that it was nothing to do with them as I will share this view with friends etc. I particularly used their carpark against free street spaces and purchased items from their shop to support local businesses out of season to help them survive. ????
Lovely place for fishing, have been wanting to go since a long time for a weekend BBQ. But, it has always been busy and fully booked. Luckily this time we realised you don’t need to book for fishing (there can be a little wait if it’s busy, but you can just go on the day). Lucky for us we did not have any waiting time. But, if your looking to do BBQ then advance booking is a must. They do sell marination, rent out fishing equipments and also offer gutting for extra amount. 1 kg of fish is about £10.50, we managed to catch about 10 which were about 7kgs plus asked for gutting. They do not clean the way we normally do at home (so, this felt a little waste as we had to do it again at home). But, overall a lovely experience kids had an amazing time. There’s also a nice walk around, play area and mini golf area for kids. Staff are pretty nice and helpful. I will definitely go again.
I’m tourist with leased car, I been through all the hassle to pay for the parking as the mobile signal is very bad in Bibury, I had to go to the farm and use their wifi to pay.
I paid for 2 hours, and I didn’t realized that I was 5 minutes late after leaving, now I received 100£ fee for overtime, which was only about 5 minutes
Very bad parking, no parking lines, no clear signs and they want to steal your money
The highest parking price I paid in my entire life,
Please stay away at all cost
Nice little farm park in Bibury. If you're looking for a place to have a little picnic beside ponds of trouts and a couple of swans, this is a nice place to go. Friendly staff on the front.
Car park is a SCAM! If you don’t pay, you will be fined asap, even if 5-10min, they will picture you for entry and will say you have broken their terms and conditions!
Watch out
Been charged 100 quid for turning up 5 min late. There are a lot of criminals out there to be charging genuine people who PAID! I can only wish this company the worst things.
Same experience as many others here. The payment machine doesn't work, there is no network reception, basically no chance to pay for the parking. But received a fine for 100GBP weeks later. Actually a successful business model for the company managing the car park, because they don't have to care for customer satisfaction as most of the tourists will never return anyway.
I've payed 3 pounds for two hours but the ticket came out just for an hour. I've asked for help to the Trout Farm but they just told me that I should be ok for two hours but that they don't manage the parking. The problem is that on the machine they have the wrong hour on the machine will steal an hour of parking. It's July...why haven't they change the hour yet?
I've tried to call the number on the displays but they haven't answered. There's free car park on the public road near by. I suggest to use that and don't give away your money to these people.
