Toujours une bonne expérience au BG café
Repas à la carte délicieux.
Ici un émincé de veau aux champignons et un flan au caramel.
Les plats sont très bien présentés et tout est de très bonne qualité.

Always a nice spot for lunch
Saturday morning is farmers market day in the center of Lausanne with stalls stretching from Place St François to Place de la Riponne via Rue Centrale. This is the day when the BCBG-s of the city buy their clementines from Corsica for 5 times more/kg than an Italian clementine at the Migros. I go to the market to pay a visit to a farmer from Rommanel just west of Lausanne, who is the only one to have Cox Orange apples that I have eaten at X-mas time since I was a child, and that's a very long time ago. He has his stand just beside the entrance to the Bongénie department store on Rue de Bourg, and since I was hungry it was easy to take the elevator to the third floor to test out their café/restaurant this last day of 2022. They have redecorated the restaurant some time ago but I do not like the transformation that has replaced the intimacy of the old place with a feeling of being in the cantine of a Swiss private hospital. I opted for a farandole consisting of three thin slices of smoked salmon with a lump of cream, two small lumps of crab rillette and three slices of cold cooked potato with some soggy rampon salad and a thin slice of bread roasted on one side only plus a glass of local Chardonnay, all for the modest sum of 50 CHF. Besides size 3 oysters are advertised at 6 fr a piece! The staff is plentiful, discrete and well trained to take care of the BCBG clientele.

Le café et la crêpe étaient impeccables ! Gustativement parlant, tout étais là.
Le service était tout simplement parfait. Merci à Joshua pour sont professionalisme, ça vitesse et son sourire. Très agréable.
J'y reviendrais plus souvent.
