Friendly with a great atmosphere, good prices on beer, love the place.
Had my mother's get together after her funeral with family and friends cosy lounge and an excellent buffet
Still a very good rugby club (venue)..
In-laws took the family for Sunday carvery. Fantastic value for money. Well roasted meat with a selection of three (or bit of everything!), very generous portions and self service vegetables - sadly all a little overcooked for my liking but give the majority of the patrons were sixty plus it's understandable.
Enjoyed it for what it was and be happy to go back next visit.
PS. Crazy big desert list. Quality varied. My pie was average but the ladies loved the pavlova style desert
Exceptional Sunday lunch. Choice of a 3 meat carvery and a large selection of fresh vegetables cooked to perfection. Home made desserts as well which contributes to the quality of food offered here. Anyone looking for Sunday lunch it's highly recommended. Take aways also available.
I ordered there lunch yesterday also had it delivered. When I opened the lid of the foiled box it was delivered in, I was totally surprised at how well it was presented. I soon had it on a plate. It was absolutely fantastic all fresh veg and the beef was melt in your mouth. My friend had pork and also found it delicious. I will definitely be calling the club again or even visiting in person top marks. C. B x. X. X
The only clubhouse in Betws now. Over the years when it was only a small building from the 1930's and existed mainly due to being in a mining village. Over the years it has grown to the clubhouse it is today, and has and still does welcom some big TV names accross it's threshold.
It is a great venue for many uses, and has an excellent catering reputation.
Visited Betws Rugby Football club to attend a Christening/Wedding party. When we arrived, the only disabled spaces were filled with cars that were not displaying Blue Badges. We were unable to park anywhere else, as the entire car park and the surrounding roads were blocked with people inside the club. We couldn't park up the road, as people had parked on the pavements meaning they were impassable in a wheelchair. I called the club to ask them if they could ask the non-disabled people parked in the disabled spaces to vacate the spaces, but they refused. As a result, we had to turn around and go home, as we couldn't enter the venue. I was shocked that the staff were so unhelpful and that they were completely unconcerned that we had to miss the celebration completely.
