Gruff, no pleasantries and ZERO miles range on a brand new van picked up yesterday. For those that don't know wouldn't be the first time totally empty on pick up my advice would be this, take a jerry can, nearest petrol station is 3-8 miles away!!
One of your drivers has caused total chaos on the A4 in chippenham this morning at 08.30 the busiest commute time he could have chosen. Traffic was backed up 4 miles into Calne and the same into Chippenham - totally irresponsible and no wonder your ratings are rubbish.
Trade plate driving from this site has been a great experience. The setup is professional and organised. The hours were long and nothing is guaranteed (other than the job your given and the pay for said job) Some days there is a easy lift back others not so much. Can be lots of waiting around (unpaid) As long as your comfortable navigating roads and public transport and have good patience plus good sense of humor you'll enjoy working as a trade plate driver with DTS. Id happy return for work there again in the future. My only reason for leaving was I had an opportunity gifted to me out of the blue to go back into my trade fulltime on very good money with guaranteed hours. If it hadn't come along I'd happily stayed put but it was a no brainer when weighing up the pros and cons. There is the opportunity to make very decent money but it all comes down to how much your prepared to risk and if your out alone or with a group. Just don't take it too seriously and don't sweat the small stuff and it will be an enjoyable experience.
The only thing about this place is they need to leave at least 25 Miles on the range of any car and then us guys that move them can get to garages that we can use ok the murco is 3 miles away but our fuel cards are not accepted there and the other garage is 10 miles in the other direction thing on guys
Big enough, easy to tip... Nightmare to get to in a truck!
The gate security is a jobsworth. There are 4 of us here & we can see the cars we’re collecting but the fat man with the power won’t let us collect.
This place has the rudest security guy I have ever come accross. They are there to help but this guy was a joke
