Very welcoming and allows dogs too.
Had a hot chocolate in the morning which was lovely. Although small, it’s great for a coffee or chat with a friend and the front canopy sitting area is very warm and nice to look out. Highly recommend.
Love this place. Friendly staff, clean and tidy, well kept Dog friendly cafe. Open many hours so it’s really convenient. Daily fresh tasty bakes and great selection of quality drinks. Even an old fashioned pick n mix to top it all off
It’s a firm favourite with the whole family from toddlers upwards! Fantastic atmosphere, really friendly and lovely people working there, excellent drinks and cakes! And I love the sustainability slant to all they sell. Absolutely love going to Barrells and it’s a real treat whenever I do (which is fairly frequently!)
Always enjoy a coffee in here! My springer always gets given his doggo treats and is made a fuss of! Nice balance too of nostalgic old fashioned yummy sweeties and chocolate, but also on trend new goodies, plus good selection of chilled drinks and fresh flowers to buy for a treat to enjoy at home ???? !

Lovely stop in Wivenhoe for coffee, hot chocolates, sweets and tasty snacks from local businesses! The atmosphere is great and the staff/owners are very friendly!
Not often in Wivenhoe but hope to make another trip soon! ????
Fantastic service, good coffee, yummy cakes and a great selection of sweets. It's always so clean too. I have been here several times with my kids and the staff were always welcoming and friendly. My son loved being able to buy a copy of Nat Geo kids and enjoy his hot chocolate whilst browsing the magazine.
